Dollie's Pecan Pie

Dollie's Pecan Pie

Makes one 8- or 9-inch Pecan Pie

  • Yield: 8 servings ( Serving Size: servings )
  • Cook time: 45 Minutes
  • Prep time: 15 Minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1/3 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 unbaked pie shell

Preparation

1. Cook sugar & syrup until thick and clear (2-3 minutes).

2. In a medium mixing bowl, slowly stir sugar mixture INTO eggs in a thin stream until mixed.

3. Add pecan halves, butter, salt and vanilla,

4. Pour into pie shell.

5. Bake 40-50 minutes in 375 degree oven.
