Breakfast Sausage Casserole

Ingredients

  • 6 slices bread
  • butter or marg.
  • 1 1/2 c (6 oz.) shredded cheese
  • 6 eggs beaten
  • 2 cups half and half
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 lb. sausage

Preparation

Remove crusts from bread, spread bread slices with butter. Place in a greased 13 x 9 in. dish. Brown and crumble sausage. Drain well. Spoon over bread slices. Sprinkle with cheese. Combine eggs, half and half and pour over cheese. Cover casserole and chill overnight.

Remove from refrig 15 min. before baking. Bake at 350, uncovered, for 45 min. or until set.
