Two-Cheese Grits

  • Yield: Makes 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 4 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup uncooked quick-cooking grits
  • 1 cup (4 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup (2 oz.) shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • none Pepper to taste

Preparation

Bring water and salt to a boil in a 3-qt. saucepan. Whisk in grits; reduce heat to medium-low, and cook 5 to 6 minutes or until tender. Remove from heat, and stir in Cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, and butter. Sprinkle with pepper to taste.
