Tuscan-Style New York Strip with Arugula-Artichoke Salad

    I just could not figure this recipe out. Please tell me what I did wrong with the artichoke's!!!! It did not call for it to be cooked and it was really strange. A lot of work and very hard to pull together.

    The concept for this recipe is great, but the artichoke instructions don't make any sense as stated by another reviewer. I simply made the salad without the artichoke and it was great with the steak and potatoes. The steak and marinade are delicious! Another streamlining tip - I will use a veggie basket and coat the potatoes in EVOO and garlic salt when I make it again rather than dealing with all the potato slices on the grill.

    made steak only - with garlic and thyme. decent marinade..for more medium rare steak we grilled 3 minutes per side
