    Worthy of a Special Occasion

    I had a lot of problems with the ganache part of this recipe. I was able to melt my chocolate in the microwave but it wasn't smooth at all, more like a paste. I ended up having to add melted butter and cream to get it to a spreading consistency. The other problem was that it says to use bittersweet chocolate which is disgusting on its own! I had to add about 1/3 cup of sugar to get it palatable. The caramel did not get thick like in the photo but after refrigerating it came out ok. The end result was fine it just required a lot of alterations. Won't make again sorry :(
