Turnip Greens With Caramelized Onions

The sweetness of the onion offsets the somewhat bitterness of the greens in this dish. I used butter instead of margarine (haven't used margarine in 30 years). I had garden-fresh turnip greens. We didn't use the hot sauce. It is a recipe I'd make about once a year.

I actually liked this. My family didn't like it at all, but I thought it was pretty good. I added salt too. I have made turnip greens the old fashioned southern way and the family likes that. I will make this again, but only when the kids aren't home to eat. :)

I thought it was ok. Funny, my kids like it better than I did. I thought it was bitter. Maybe it wouldn't be so bitter if the brown sugar and margarine were increased.
