To Mike, from the review of 10/07, get over yourself. If you are going to suggest using something to substitute for the cream of mushroom soup, give the recipe for it!

Good simple recipe. Sometimes we don't have the time to make everything from scratch. This recipe is easy and just takes a few ingredients from the pantry. Whole family enjoyed this, including the grand children.

My kids love it and it was quick and easy to make. I took the suggestion to use two smaller dishes, so I cooked one and froze one! Perfect for my household. The one thing I did different was that after I cooked the spaghetti (angel hair pasta), I put it directly in the dish and poured everything else on top of the noodles. It was easier to ensure the spaghetti mixed evenly with the main mix. Served easier this way too!

I leave out the peas (I detest them) and serve this with green salad and rosemary faccia.

This is a longtime favorite of mine, and I only made a few adjustments for personal taste: I use crushed Ritz ( or equivalent) mixed with the seasonings and add smidge of garlic powder in lieu of the croutons, also I will occasionally use steamed chopped broccoli florets instead of the peas. If I have it on hand, I will sometimes add about 1/4 c. dry sherry or mediera to the cheese sauce. It adds great depth of flavor. This is a good casserole to make with after-Thanksgiving turkey leftovers and stash in the freezer for a cold winter's night. Your family will love it. It's real homey comfort food

Whole family love it, even my picky 12 year old! Perfect dish for leftover thanksgiving turkey. The only thing I changed was broccoli in place of the peas and canned bread crumbs for the croutons.

I made a few kid-friendly changes and my kids loved it! My son even asked for the leftovers for breakfast the next day. I omitted the fresh mushrooms and used an Italian cheese blend instead of Swiss.
