Although teriyaki sauce does have a small amount of sugar, it has only 2 grams of carbohydrate per tablespoon.
1/4 cup low-sodium teriyaki sauce
1 tablespoon grated peeled fresh ginger
1 large garlic clove, minced
1 1/2 pounds turkey tenderloin, cut into cubes
8 large green onions, cut into 1 1/2-inch pieces
How to Make It
Combine first 3 ingredients in a large heavy-duty zip-top plastic bag. Add turkey; seal bag, and marinate in refrigerator 30 minutes. Remove turkey from marinade; reserve marinade. Place marinade in a saucepan; bring to a boil. Remove from heat.
Thread turkey and onions alternately onto 4 (8-inch) skewers. Broil 3 minutes on each side or until turkey is done, basting with marinade.
