Turkey Pumpkin Chili
This has begun to be referred to as "harvest chili" in our house. I make sure to stock up on pumpkin when it's in season, because we will never go back to making regular chili.

Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon(s) olive oil
- 1 pound(s) ground turkey
- 1 yellow bell pepper chopped
- 1 small onion chopped
- 1 clove(s) garlic minced
- 15 oz. can(s) pumpkin puree
- 14.5 oz. can(s) diced tomatoes with liquid
- 8.75 oz. can(s) whole kernel corn with liquid
- 1/2 cup(s) water
- 2 teaspoon(s) chili powder divided
- 2 teaspoon(s) cumin divided
- 4 teaspoon(s) oregano
- 1 teaspoon(s) brown sugar
- 2 teaspoon(s) cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon(s) ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) allspice
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) pepper
- cheyanne pepper as desired for spice
Preparation
- Add olive oil and onion to large pot and cook over medium heat till onion begins to soften, about 3 minutes. Add garlic, ground turkey, 1 tsp chili powder, 1 tsp cumin, and continue to cook till turkey is browned, stirring frequently. Add the bell pepper, pumpkin puree, diced tomatoes, corn, and water and stir till smooth. Add all remaining spices and stir. Reduce heat to low and cook 1 hour.
