Ingredients
- avocado
- 2 tablespoon(s) chili powder
- 1 can(s) diced fire roasted tomatoes with garlic
- 4 clove(s) garlic, minced
- grated mexican cheese
- 1 pound(s) ground turkey
- 1 can(s) kidney beans
- 1 whole(s) large onion, chopped
- 1 whole(s) red or yellow bell pepper
- 1 teaspoon(s) salt
- 1 can(s) small, tomato sauce no salt-added
- sour cream
- triscuits or crackers
Preparation
- In a Dutch oven, over medium high heat, cook turkey, onion and bell pepper, stirring frequently until turkey is cooked through. Add the garlic, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, chili powder, and salt. Cover and lower to simmer. Cook for 30 minutes. Stir in beans and heat for 10 minutes until heated through. Serve with garnishes
