I marinated the shrimp for 4 hours (added more garlic and red pepper). Used sliced shallots instead of red onion and skipped the pistachios. The dressing is fabulous made with raspberry balsamic vinegar! Beautiful dish!

Really delicious. Great mix of colors and flavors. I didn't have time to marinate the shrimp for the required amount of time and it didn't seem to matter. Would make a great lunch party entree.

I made the salad as a side salad for a dinner party. Substituted peaches for mangoes, since they are just coming in season, and pecans for pistachios, since not everyone likes them. Served with the basil vinaigrette and it was devoured. Everybody loved it! Will definitely try again with barbecued shrimp for a light easy summer supper.
