I haven't tried this yet but after reading the other reviews I'm wondering if using a boxed refridgerater cheesecake mix instead of the cream cheese and cream would set up better.

I too made this for a Memorial Picnic and had the same results with the filling. It just didn't set up well. I did however make a graham cracker crust instead of the regular pie crust and that made the pie delicious. I also elimated the rasberries and added extra strawberries and blueberries. I am going to make it again tomorrow for a Graduation Party. I may try to "whip" the heavy cream and fold that into the cream cheese mixture. Still tastes great though!

Made this beautiful pie for guests at a Memorial Day cookout at my home. The appearance was outstanding--just like the photo. However, although I chilled the filling overnight before topping with fruit, the filling did not set and the pie was a big pile of mush on plates (although tasty). Disappointing. . . .

I haven't tried it yet, but looking at the recipe I doubt it will set up properly without the addition of eggs and a bit of flour. The cream (cheese) and heavy cream need something to bind it. Has potential though.

This pie is delicious! I made this for a 4th of July block party using a graham cracker crust. Since it had been sitting out for a while before serving the center was a little soft. But we took one slice home and after being in the fridge all night that slice was perfectly firm - so I think it's just a matter of chilling more. I will definitely make this again.

The taste of the filling is wonderful! However, as of this morning, it has been in the refrigerator for 11 hours and is still not set up. May freeze it and serve it as an "ice cream" pie.

Made this one a few times, Delicious. Had no problem getting the pie to firm up or set with out changing the recipe at all. Just make sure to use enough speed when beating in your cream. Speed is key! I did use a graham cracker crust as well because of personal preference.

Delicious dessert... reminds me of the Berry Berry Berry Good ice cream at Coldstone. My dessert did not set, but after reading the reviews, I think it is because I did not whip the cream enough.

If you make this pie really beat the filling so that it will set.

This was delicious and very easy. I cheated and used a frozen pie crust instead of making my own. I read other reviewers comments about the pie not setting, but I had no problems. Once you add the heavy cream, you need to beat it on high speed until it looks like whipped cream.

Delicious. I used a purchased crust and the filling did not set, but it may be because I did not beat the filling enough. This was so incredibly easy to make and delicious, I will make it again.

I don't understand why anyone rate this poorly. It sets up beautifully. You just have to do what Devo says, " whip it, whip it good!"
