Tortitas de Maiz

Photo: Karry Hosford

"When I was young, I loved to stay overnight with my great-grandmother because she cooked my favorite recipe. We used to wake up very early in the morning to the smell of her Tortitas de Maiz. They are like polenta but sweeter. You can serve them with syrup or sprinkle with powdered sugar, but I like them plain." --CL Reader
