  • 3 tablespoon(s) Olive oil
  • 3 cup(s) Yellow onions(2) Chopped
  • 1 tablespoon(s) Minced garlic(3 cloves)
  • 4 cup(s) Chicken stock
  • 1 can(s) 28oz crushed tomatoes
  • 1 pinch(s) Saffron
  • 1/2 cup(s) Orzo
  • 1/2) cup(s) Heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. In large pot, heat oil,medium heat,cook onions for 15 until golden brown, add garlic cook for one minute, stir in chicken stock, tomatoes, saffron, salt and pepper simmer for 15 minutes
  2. Cook orzo for 7 minutes, drain and add to soup with the heavy cream and simmer for 10 minutes
  3. Serve with shredded cheese(your choice)
