Tomato Sauce
Ingredients
- 1/2 small onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 (14 1/2-ounce) can diced tomatoes with basil, garlic, and oregano
- 1/4 cup red wine
- 1/2 teaspoon ground red pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
Preparation
- Sauté onion and garlic in hot oil over medium heat 5 to 7 minutes or until tender. Add tomatoes, wine, and red pepper; simmer 20 minutes or until thoroughly heated. Add salt and basil.
