Tomato-Molasses Dressing

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon chopped green onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 teaspoons dark molasses
  • 1 cup halved cherry tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh chives


  1. Heat oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add green onion, ginger, and garlic; sauté 1 to 2 minutes or until tender. Add white wine, bring to a boil, and cook 2 minutes or until mixture has reduced to about 1 tablespoon. Stir in lime juice, honey, and molasses. Add tomatoes, and cook 3 minutes or until tomatoes begin to soften. Stir in parsley and chives just before serving.
