This was good. It goes very well with the French Market Meatloaf. My friend thought it added just the right touch.
- 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup beef broth
- 1 (8-ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- Melt butter in a small saucepan; whisk in flour, and cook, whisking constantly, 1 minute. Gradually whisk in broth and tomato sauce; reduce heat, and simmer until thickened. Whisk in salt and pepper.
