This was outstanding. I used a pint of halved grape tomatoes, because that's what we had in the house, but I think diced larger tomatoes would be better. We added 3 oz of diced feta, to copy something we'd had at a restaurant, and it was a nice addition. Planning to serve this again to guests on the 4th of July, with Feta Stuffed Turkey Burgers.

Delicious salad! We do a lot of entertaining so this recipe is being passed on to others and then prepared at other gatherings. Everybody loves it. I remember only once somebody refused to try it because they thought it sounded gross and strange. IT IS NOT. Everything tastes delicious and fresh together.

Got all ingredients at local Farmers'Market and made for a 4th party. It was a hit!

very easy, very tasty. Perfect! I used Balsamic vinegar instead of Red Vine vinegar. If you want to do the same, I recommend using a bit less vinegar than called for in the recipe.

As already mentioned this seems like a strange combination of ingredients. However, I've been making this dish for about 2 years now and its a crowd pleaser for all ages. Easy and delicious. You have to try it!

I agree with the above posts. I've been making this for summer gatherings for several years and it is always a hit...especially if I don't name the ingredients :))

If there were 10 stars, I would give them. This is OUTSTANDING and I can't get enough of it in the summer when tomatoes and watermelon are at their peak. I prefer balsamic vinegar to the red wine vinegar, but they are both delish. Also, if I have it on hand, I will add some chopped fresh basil. Again, delicious either way. Love, love, love.

My daughter made this when it appeared in the July 2007 issue of SL. It was wonderful. I have since read of addin fresh chopped basil (about 1/4 cup), a little fresh lemon juice, and 1/2 cup of crumbled Feta cheese. I thought of adding some sweet blueberries for the Fourth of July 1 I'm not sure that I would add the lemon juice. Enjoy!

We love this recipe and added a few flavors: avocado, blueberries, yellow and red watermelon, feta, and Trader Joes roasted & salted Rosemary Marcona almonds. It was a huge hit for our summer party and it was beautiful on the table.
