Toasted Tortilla Strips
Prep: 5 to 10 minutes; Cook: 10 minutes.
This recipe goes with Santa Fe Gazpacho
- 4 (5- to 6-inch) corn tortillas
- 1. Preheat oven to 400°. Cut tortillas into 1/4-inch strips. Toss strips onto an ungreased baking sheet, but do not spread into 1 layer.
- 2. Toast strips at 400° on middle oven shelf 5 minutes. Toss well, return to oven, and toast about 5 minutes more until crisp and lightly browned. Cool before using.
- Note: If making ahead, store cooled strips in an airtight container.
