I made this "pie" for Thanksgiving and people were fighting over the last piece! This was ridiculously easy and the taste was superb. I made as is and I think next time I will try some flavored coffee.

QUESTION: I have not yet tried this recipe but it looks SO good. We don't drink coffee. Any ideas for a substitute?

My family loves this recipe. I only make this yummy dessert at Christmas. It is quick and easy, but tastes so gourmet! Plus the presentation is gorgeous.

Wow! This was so easy and so yummy! No changes, and it was perfect. I made it on Christmas Eve for Christmas dinner the next evening and must say that I actually liked it better the day after that (26th). It seemed a few days gave the flavors to really blend. It is so easy you could make for an everyday dessert but it is so pretty, you could also make it for a special occasion. I can't wait to make it again and may try a square or rectangle dish next time so it looks like Tiramisu instead of "pie".

My husband actually had seconds of this dessert. I made it in an 8inch springform pan and it held together beautifully. Definitely needs the long chill time before serving. I used a coffee liquor to douse the cake.

I made this in a panic on Christmas Eve after two other desserts I had planned for Christmas dinner failed. This is so, so easy to make and is delicious. It received many compliments, especially from chocolate lovers. Things to note. The chocolate trumps the coffee flavor; use stronger coffee or add additional coffee liqueur if you want this flavor to be perceptible. I also recommend quickly dunking the bottom cake slices in the coffee and then placing them around the dish, rather than drizzling the coffee over them all. This ensures more even distribution and also helps enhance the coffee flavor. Overall: easy, delicious!

One of the easiest and best desserts I have ever made. I even used 1/2 sugar chocolate Hersey's syrup, light Cool-Whip and light cream cheese (saved some calories) and it tasted wonderful. I used Heath Bar for a topping and that was great. I do agree that there wasn't much coffee taste and next time I'll use more coffee or stronger flavored coffee. Otherwise, this is a great, quick, easy dessert!!
