Ingredients
- 1 quart(s) fresh figs
- 4 cup(s) sugar
- baking soda
Preparation
- POUR water over figs to cover. Sprinkle liberal amount of baking soda over figs. Let soak 1 hour.
- DRAIN and rinse figs. Put figs and sugar in large pot. Bring to a boil and let simmer until thickened. About 2 hours.
- POUR figs and syrup into pint size sterilized jars and seal.
