Three-Cheese Lasagna

First warning: make SURE you have the right size pan. Mine was 9 by 9 instead of 8 by 8, and it didn't really work well at all -- I didn't have enough sauce, the noodles didn't fit right, and it came out pretty dry. Also be sure you cover the dish with foil when you bake it, because I think that also contributed to how dry it got. Came out kinda burned, really -- I didn't use the broiler at all. And I don't think you'll need 1/4 cup basil. Well, I used dried basil -- maybe fresh basil wouldn't have been as much. Still, this is a simple recipe (especially good for my first time trying lasagne, I'll admit), and I think it'll be good if you can get it right!

I have four girls ranging in ages from 1-13, and they all asked for seconds. It was very tasty and we didn't mind the fresh herbs, in fact I added some spinach and it was still delicious. The fresher the ingredients the better!

Easy recipe - makes a nice serving of "comfort food."

I thought this recipe had too much sauce and I did not think the fresh basil worked with that long of a cooking time. However, it was easy and pretty tasty so I will try this again using dried basil and less sauce. The other fresh herbs worked fine.

Made with no-boil lasagna noodles (that's what I had) and it came out perfect. Very easy and delicious.
