Country-Style-3-Bean Salad

This easy make-ahead recipe is a must-have for any large gathering.

Yield: Serves 10 to 12


  • 1 (14 1/2-oz.) can green beans, drained
  • 1 (14 1/2-oz.) can yellow wax beans, drained
  • 1 (15 1/2-oz.) can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2/3 cup vinegar
  • 1/3 cup oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano


  1. Toss beans and onion together in a large bowl; set aside. Combine remaining ingredients in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook and stir until sugar dissolves; pour over bean mixture. Cover and chill overnight.
