In New York, it's common to name stirred rye cocktails after neighborhoods. This one is named for a historic neighborhood in Atlanta, the city where mixologist Kellie Thorn lives. You'll make more infused whiskey than you need for this cocktail--a good thing, as it's a delicious winter sipper.
Serves 8 (serving size: a scant 1/2 cup)
1. Combine first 3 ingredients in a martini pitcher with ice; stir until outside of pitcher is cold. Strain into 8 small cocktail glasses. Garnish with sage, if desired.
