- 4 cup(s) flour
- 1 teaspoon(s) baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
- 2 cup(s) buttermilk
- Sift the dry ingredients together.
- Make a well in the center and add enough buttermilk to make a soft dough.
- Knead lightly on a floured surface and flatten into a round. Cut a cross on top and bake in a lightly greased cast-iron skillet or on a baking sheet at 425 for about 40 min.
