How to Make It

Step 1

Cream butter in a medium mixing bowl; gradually add sugar, beating well. Add egg yolks; beat well.

Step 2

Combine flour and baking powder; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Stir in vanilla

Step 3

Beat egg whites (at room temperature) until stiff peaks form. Gently fold into batter. Spoon 1 teaspoon batter into each greased miniature muffin pan. Bake at 350° for 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool in pans 10 minutes; remove to wire racks, and cool completely. Sift powdered sugar over tops of muffins.
