  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) SALT
  • 1 cup(s) BUTTERMILK
  • 4 piece(s) ( 1 OZ. EA) WHITE BAKING CHOCOLATE MELTED AND COOLED
  • 1 package(s) CREAM CHEESE SOFTENED
  • 3/4 cup(s) BUTTER SOFTENED
  • 1 teaspoon(s) VANILLA
  • 5 cup(s) CONFECTIONER'S SUGAR
  • 1/2 cup(s) FINELY CHOPPED PECANS

Preparation

  1. CREAM CRISCO AND BUTTER UNTIL LIGHT AND FLUFFY. ADD EGGS,ONE AT A TIME,BEATING WELL AFTER EACH ADDITION. ADD BANANAS AND VANILLA. COMBINE DRY INGREDIENTS. ADD TO BANANA MIXTURE ALTERNATELY WITH BUTTERMILK. BEAT WELL. FOLD IN CHOCOLATE. POUR INTO 3 GREASED AND FLOURED 9-IN. ROUND CAKE PANS.BAKE AT 350* FOR 25-30 MIN.COOL FOR 10 MIN. THEN REMOVE FROM PANS. FROSTING: BEAT CREAM CHEESE,BUTTER AND VANILLA UNTIL SMOOTH.GRADUALLY BEAT IN CONFECTIONER'S SUGAR. SPREAD BETWEEN LAYERS AND OVER TOP AND SIDES OF CAKE. SPRINKLE WITH PECANS. STORE IN REFRIGERATOR.
