Yield about 1 cu p


  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 2 tablespoons grated lemon rind
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice

How to Make It

  1. Combine first 5 ingredients in a medium saucepan, stirring well; bring to a boil, and boil 1 minute. Reduce heat to low; cook, stirring constantly, until thickened. Remove from heat, and stir in rind arid juice. Chill.
