Ingredients
- 1 pound(s) Ground Beef Browned
- 1/2 whole(s) Medium Onion Chopped
- 3 clove(s) Garlic Minced
- 1/4 teaspoon(s) Oregano
- 1 -8 oz can(s) Rotel
- 1 can(s) Ranch Style Beans
- 1 tablespoon(s) Chili Powder
- CORNBREAD BATTER
- 1/2 cup(s) Cornmeal
- 1/2 cup(s) Flour
- 2 tablespoon(s) Sugar
- 2 teaspoon(s) Baking Powder
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) Salt
- 1/2 cup(s) Milk
- 2 tablespoon(s) Oil
- 1 whole(s) Egg
- 2 tablespoon(s) Jalapeno Peppers (Optional)
- 1/3 cup(s) Cheddar Cheese 1/2-inch cubes
Preparation
- FILLING:
- Brown meat and onions, drain, add tomato sauce, beans, chili powder, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper to taste. Add enough water so mixture is covered. Simmer 15-20 minutes. Pour into a 2 quart baking dish and top with cornbread batter.
- Bake in 425° oven 25 minutes.

- Combine all ingredients for Corn Bread Batter and add when needed
