Ingredients

  • 2 cups shelled pecan halves
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons packed light brown sugar

Preparation

  1. 1. Preheat oven to 400ºF. Spread pecans on baking sheet in a single layer. Roast for 10 minutes, shaking pan occasionally, until nuts are fragrant and light golden brown.
  2. 2. While nuts are roasting, combine cinnamon, chili powder, cumin, cayenne, ginger and salt in a small bowl.
  3. 3. Remove nuts from oven and place in a bowl. Toss with melted butter, brown sugar and spice mix while nuts are still hot, combining evenly. Let cool and serve.
