Sweet Potato Biscuits

    These were delicious! I made them to have with BBQ chicken and it was perfect. They are a simple biscuit to make. I didn't have enough time to let them raise twice, so they weren't as fluffy or flaky, but they were delicious anyways. I will for sure make these again at Thanksgiving.

    I really hate to give this recipe a one star but I won't make it again (which is what it says: "One start: Would not make again"). I don't know if I did something wrong but the biscuits didn't seem to rise as much as I expected. I also thought the flavor just wasn't all that spectacular. They were okay, but waaaayyyy too much work to do again for the final results. There are several other sweet potato biscuit recipes to try.

    These biscuits have been a hit for many years now. I only make them on holidays since they are pretty time intensive. The person who gave this 1 star must have definitely done something wrong because even the year I "goofed up" the recipe they were still pretty good and there were none left. One suggestion: Try using 1 cup of fresh mashed sweet potatoes instead of canned. A lot less sugar and better taste. That is all I use now.
