  • 1 cup fresh shelled green peas (about 3/4 pound)
  • 1 large ripe avocado, peeled and seeded
  • 1/3 cup minced green onions
  • 1/4 cup bottled salsa
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 4 cilantro sprigs
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 84 baked tortilla chips


  1. Steam peas, covered, 4 minutes or until tender. Combine peas and next 8 ingredients (peas through garlic) in a food processor or blender, and pulse until just combined. Serve guacamole with tortilla chips.
  2. Note: Frozen green peas may be substituted for fresh.
