Spicy-Sweet Five-Spice Breadsticks

  • 4 ounces pizza or bread dough
  • 1 teaspoon butter, melted
  • 1/4 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon five-spice powder
  • Dash of kosher salt
  • Dash of ground red pepper


  1. Roll dough into an 8 x 4-inch rectangle, and proceed. Brush dough with melted butter. Combine sugar, five-spice powder, kosher salt, and ground red pepper. Cut dough into 8 (8 x 1/2-inch) strips. Arrange dough on a baking sheet coated with cooking spray; bake at 425° for 10 minutes or until golden.
