- 1 (4-pound) eye of round roast
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 2 medium onions, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/3 cup lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
How to Make It
Brown roast on all sides in hot oil in a large Dutch oven. Add thinly sliced onion and remaining ingredients.
Bake, covered, at 300° for 3 hours or until tender.
