Sweet-And-Sour Dressing

Ingredients

1 egg, beaten
1 tablespoon bacon drippings
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup vinegar
1/4 cup commercial sour cream

Preparation

Combine egg and drippings in a small ceramic saucepan; beat well with a wire whisk. Place over medium heat; cook until thickened slightly, beating constantly with wire whisk.

Dissolve sugar in vinegar; gradually add to egg mixture. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until thickened. Cool slightly, and fold in sour cream.
