Ingredients

  • 2 cups chopped onion
  • Cooking spray
  • 3/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon dry mustard
  • 3 (16-ounce) cans light red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
  • 6 bacon slices, cooked and crumbled (drained)

Preparation

  1. 1. Saute onion in a large nonstick skillet coated with cooking spray over medium-high heat 4 minutes or until tender.
  2. 2. Place onion and remaining ingredients in a 3 1/2- to 4-quart electric slow cooker; stir well. Cover with lid; cook on low-heat setting 6 hours.
