I made this recipe just as listed, except I didn't have any sherry. Turned out great. Definite comfort food. Very tasty & easy to boot! Will make again for sure.

Fabulous! Sauce is flavorful and tasty. Very filling comfort food. Even my kids like it. Can't believe it's lo-cal!

I really enjoyed the flavor of the sauce and will make it again for a weekday meal. I utilized beef consomme instead of the french onion soup as the recipe calls. This probably greatly reduced the sodium in this recipe as Campbell soups are known for high sodium content. I thinly sliced my own onions and used some corn starch to thicken the sauce a bit more. I probably will add some spices to the beef/turkey mixture next time to give the meat a more hearty flavor.

My husband loves this! I only use extra lean ground beef (no ground turkey). I replace the onion soup with Healthy Request Cream of Mushroom. We have this often....My husband says the sauce really makes this dish.

I thought this was a good recipe.. BF didnt like it too much compare to traditional Salisbury steak..

Not traditional Salisbury steak as there were no mushrooms. But it made a very tangy, interesting sauce that I liked even better. And so easy. It's not the most gorgeous meal when plated so i'd probably not serve it for company. I roasted some potatoes and carrots to serve alongside. I'll add this to my regular rotation.

This recipe was really easy to make. I read the previous reviews and added garlic, onions and some seasoning to the burgers. I used cream of mushroom soup instead of french onion and I didnt have the sherry wine on hand either. It still turned out great. It was easy and quick to make. Delicious will definitely make again

Great meal for something different every now and then. Took a little longer to make then suggested. Kids liked it and there were no leftovers. I will make this again and soon.

The finished product was Outstanding, but it was NOT superfast at all...We used all ground beef for this recipe and added some fresh sliced mushrooms to the sauce. I would recommend making your steaks the night or morning before to save on prep time...Served it with roasted potatoes and carrots. Will definitely be making this one again though...Tasted great!!!

This tasted great, but was not superfast. I agree with the suggestion to make the patties ahead of time to speed things up. Sauce tasted a little tart from the pan, but served it with egg noodles and it balanced out fine.

My husband was browsing on here (watching my accition to this site- ha ha) and found this recipe. He followed it to the "T" and was absolutely wonderful. Everyone cleaned thier plates! This one is a keeper!

This is a great have-dinner-on-the-table-in-30 kind of recipe. It is really tasty, especially for the effort put into it. I serve it with a Trader Joe's Brown/wild rice combo and some steamed vegetables and it is a really nice meal. This is on the standard rotation at our place.

I love this recipe and have made it a handful of times. My husband didn't believe that it had turkey in it! It is very tender and has a good amount of sauce.

I loved the consistency of the patties with the bread crumbs and egg whites-will definitely use again. They kept a good shape and didn't shrink too much. However, I didn't enjoy the sauce. I usually love recipes that get at least a 4 to 5 star rating, but wasn't thrilled with this. I cook a lot and do not usually use canned soup, I wonder if the french onion soup is what turned me off to this? My husband didn't hate it, but I don't think it will be on the rotation...

I really like this recipe. I double the sauce, add a few Tbs. of flour for thickening, and add 2 packages of sliced mushrooms. It really makes this a winner. I served it with mashed potatoes and a veggie.

This is a staple in our household and has been for years. The whole family, including my 7 year old son love it. This is recipe you would never know was "light".

Turned out great. I did change a little. I made this for my boyfriend and his brother whom they both don't like onions or mushrooms so I used cream of celery instead of the onion soup. I used all lean ground sirloin and I added about 6 T of cooking sherry to mask the tomato paste.Next time instead of using 3 T of tomato paste I'll use 2. I also used homemade breadcrumbs with 100% whole wheat bread. Overall great recipes and lo-cal which was even better. Served with oven roasted potatos and carrots.

This needs something to punch up the flavor, the meat needs some season and I suggest adding mushrooms to the sauce. Maybe add a sprig of rosemary to the sauce while its cooking.

We really liked this recipe too. I substituted Italian ground turkey - which added flavor and less of a hamburger taste. I used everything else in the recipe but was out of sherry so substituted white wine. Not really noticeable anyway. Liked the hearty flavor of the onion soup and tomato paste together. Served with mashed potatoes and green beans.

This was So good! I made it basically as directed, but made the following changes based on what I had on hand and what my family likes/dislikes. I used beef consomme in place of the onion soup, and I didn't have any wine or sherry. I also added quit a bit of seasoning, both to the meat and the sauce- onion and garlic powder, seasoning salt and a decent amount of black pepper and crushed red pepper. ( we like things spicy). I served it with roasted potatoes and salad.

We loved this recipe. Had to use bacon & bean soup because it's what I had on hand; now I'll always use that. Also used red wine instead of what was called for. Served with whole wheat rolls and green beans. Froze the leftover burgers in individual containers.

Easy, fast, and delicious homey meal, but not a special occasion or company sort of thing unless your company are really down-home meat and potatoes types. I used all ground turkey to cut calories (but not ground turkey breast, which is too pale and dry alone) and substituted Campbell's Beefy Mushroom Soup, which has a wonderfully rich flavor, I think much better than French Onion. Served with steamed red potatoes and some green and yellow wax-beans, also steamed.

Salisbury steak without a mushroom gravy just isn't. Cooking Light has far better recipes than this that are just as easy.
