Stovetop Sausage Mac and Cheese

My roommate and I started making this when it was first published and OH MY GOODNESS it's a hit everytime! Ultimate comfort food without the guilt - it even fools the men in our lives!

I was hesitant to try this recipe after reading some of the reviews but was pleased with the results. The sauce was thick but not pasty as others had described. I did stir in some baby spinach at the end when adding the cooked pasta. I would make this again - quick, easy and cheesy!

We LOVE this recipe - it is our standby, go to, comfort food - a staple in our home! Great flavor, easy to make and makes great leftovers! Five stars!

My husband and I LOVE this recipe! We add in a turkey kielbasa, just for some extra protein. It adds a great flavor and I think is what makes this recipe a keeper!

Although I would not make this for a special occasion I gave it four stars because my wife and I really enjoyed this dish. I made it exactly as the recipe read. The sauce was great, rich, creamy thick. I served this with a green salad and fruit for dessert.

Horrible,there is alot of cheese in this recipe...but it doesnt really tast cheesy. It just has a weird taste. I love CL recipes...but I had to make everyone a second lunch after makeing this.

Cheesy comforting goodness. I used a fresh basil chicken sausage I got from my butcher, removed it from the casing and crumbled it.

Solid recipe. This was mild enough for kids but creamy enough for grown ups. I did wish that the flavor had a little more pop. May play around with it again (maybe add some ground mustard) or use other sausages.
