Top our Cranberry-Apple Granola Muffins with this maple-caramel sauce. Oaky maple syrup meets salty caramel candies for a wonderfully seasonal, Autumn-inspired breakfast muffin. While they taste like a fancy coffeehouse treat, they're extremely simple and straightforward to make on a brisk, fall morning.

Ingredients

  • 12 caramel candies
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt

How to Make It

  1. Place caramel candies, cream, maple syrup, and salt in a small microwave-safe bowl, and microwave on HIGH just until smooth, 1 minute to 1 minute and 30 seconds, stirring at 30-second intervals. Cool, stirring occasionally, until thickened, about 10 minutes.
