Stewed Mixed Fruits

Yield 4 to 6 servings


  • 1 small stick cinnamon
  • 3/4 teaspoon whole cloves
  • 1/2 (8-ounce) package dried prunes
  • 1/2 (8-ounce) package dried apples
  • 1/2 (6-ounce) package dried apricots
  • 3 cups water
  • 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar

How to Make It

  1. Place cinnamon and cloves in a cheesecloth bag; tie bag, and place in a saucepan. Add remaining ingredients; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer 30 minutes. Cool slightly; discard spice bag. Serve warm.
