Coffee combines with hot chocolate for a bracing drink to be enjoyed on the coldest of mornings.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups unsweetened cocoa
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 7 cups milk
  • 7 cups strong brewed coffee
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • Marshmallow crème (optional)

Preparation

  1. Combine first 3 ingredients in a Dutch oven. Whisk in milk and coffee until smooth. Cook mixture over medium heat, stirring often, 20 minutes or just until bubbles appear (do not boil); remove from heat. Stir in vanilla. Top each serving with marshmallow crème, if desired.
