  • 4 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 4 (1 1/2-pound) live Maine lobsters


  1. Bring the water and salt to a boil in a 5-gallon stockpot. Place a vegetable steamer or rack in bottom of the pan. Add lobsters; steam, covered, for 14 minutes or until done.
