- 8-10 ounce(s) fresh green beans raw
- Snap the ends off of the green beans. Wash thoroughly. Place in steamer basket. Fill a saucepan 1/3 of the way with water and place the steamer basket inside. Cover the pan with its lid.
- Turn the heat to high and wait for the pot to boil. When it does, turn the heat down to medium and keep the lid on. Set timer for 2 minutes and check the beans for done-ness. Remove from the heat the instant they are cooked to your liking.
