Steak Butter

Yield 1/2 cup


  • 1/2 clove garlic
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 teaspoon minced chives
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground savory
  • 1/4 teaspoon basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground marjoram
  • 1/4 teaspoon hickory salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Dash of hot sauce

How to Make It

  1. Rub inside of bowl with garlic; discard garlic. Add butter; beat until light and fluffy. Add remaining ingredients, mixing well. Store in a covered container in refrigerator until ready to use. Serve Steak Butter at room temperature on hot steak.
