Ingredients
- 2 1 lb bags dry split peas
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 celery stalks chopped
- 2-3 carrots chopped
- 2 onions chopped
- 4 garlic cloves minced
- 12 cup(s) water
- 1 bouillon cube
- 3 smoked hamhocks, or 2 cups chopped ham
Preparation
- Add all ingredients to large stockpot. Cook for 2 hours, stirring occasionally. All ingredients will break down. Ready to serve. Add salt to taste.
