- 4 whole(s) carrots
- 1 pound(s) split peas
- 1/2 to 1 slice(s) onion or shallot
- 1-2 leeks sliced
- 2 tablespoon(s) fresh herbs (thyme, sage, or ....)
- 1 clove(s) garlic
- 2 cup(s) vegetable broth low sodium
- Rinse and sort peas. Place peas in crockpot and cover with broth and 2 cups water. Add all other ingredients except herbs. Season with black pepper.Cook on low approx 6 hours. Add herbs during last 1/2 hr of cooking. Puree with immersion blender.
