Spinach With Basil

Yield 6 servings


  • 4 pounds fresh spinach
  • 6 sprigs parsley, chopped
  • 4 green onions, chopped
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried whole basil

How to Make It

  1. Remove stems from spinach; wash leaves thoroughly, and tear into pieces. Place all ingredients in a large Dutch oven (do not add water). Cover, and cook over medium-high heat for 5 minutes or until spinach is limp.
