This was delicious! Excellent dressing. I used turkey bacon instead of pork and made the dressing ahead of time to let the flavors blend. Make sure the dressing goes on just before serving as it will wilt the spinach over time. This is definitely going into my favorites list for every day or guests as it is so easy to make.

This was amazing. We're not huge salad fans, but we each went back for seconds, and the leftovers were still good the next day. Served as a salad course with a beer cheese soup and asiago parmesan bread.

Delicious. My husband joked about a big bowl of spinach but then told me that it was great after he tried it!

It was a little more time consuming than I thought but a GREAT recipe.

This is my go-to salad dressing. I've made it so many times but still not tired of it!

Yummy! I added grilled chicken breast, extra chopped apples, and omitted red onion. The dressing was great - but my husband thought it was a little "garlic-y" (and he loves garlic!). I doubled the dressing but next time will only add half the amt. of garlic and shallots. Very fancy looking salad- I loved it and will definitely make again.

This is a *great* salad. I have made it several times, including for a baby shower. I made the dish exactly as is, and it got great reviews. A definite winner!

This is my absolute favorite CL recipe. Be sure and use real maple syrup as pancake syrup will not do this recipe justice. Guests are wowed by it. It is all I can do not to lick the dressing leftover on my plate. I enjoy this salad with grilled salmon.

This is my absolute favorite spinach salad and it's so easy to make!! I eat this almost on a daily basis. And, you can make the dressing ahead and it keeps for awhile in the fridge. Never tried it with the mushrooms though (not a big fan)

Made this tonight and it was delicious. I replaced the spinach for local green leaf lettuce and the apples with local yellow plums. Was so good I wanted more. This is a keeper.

Wow...I can't stop eating this salad. The only changes for me were green onions and turkey bacon. This salad reminds me of my mom's "warm bacon dressing over wilted leaf lettuce salad". I keep the dressing separate from the salad until it time to eat. A definite winner!

I made this to bring to a friends house and just dressed it when we were ready to serve. Everyone loved it and no one guessed the dressing was made with maple syrup!

My husband and I both really enjoyed this recipe, though we found it a bit sweet. Next time, we will probably reduce the amount of maple syrup. We doubled the apple and mushrooms. Also, we sauted the mushrooms before adding to the salad.

Wow. Followed the recipe egggzakly! This one played to rave reviews. I hunted around the net for a somewhat easy spinach salad recipe that wasn't off the charts in complexity or calories - BINGO! The dressing alone is amazing. This will be a repeat on the home menu board most definitely!

Fantastic! Definitely a company worthy salad. I actually forgot the bacon and don't think it really missed it. The only thing I will do differently next time is to cut back on the onion a bit, however that is just because we are not big raw onion fans.

Love this salad! I've been making it for years. My husband doesn't typically like spinach salads and this is the one exception. I guess if you put bacon in anything it makes it better :) Definitely a keeper!

I have a very hard time finding non-creamy dressings that I like. This dressing is wonderful! I'm making a big batch to use all the time.

Great salad, amazing dressing! The dressing worked well for this particular salad but I suspect I'll also use it for a lot of different salads in the future.

This was so delicious. The only thing I did differently was to saute the onion and mushroom in a little of the bacon drippings so they were a little tender and I let them cool before adding them to the salad. It went well with our grilled steak and baked sweet potatoes. I will make this often.
