Spicy Steak and Black Bean Chili

This chili was a big hit for Halloween. I added two extra cans of black beans about 3 hours into cooking because I was worried about not having enough. My chili seasoning packet was all mixed so I couldn't leave out the masa and red pepper. The finished product had a lot of flavor but my 11 month old loved it so it wasn't terribly spicy.

I made this chili at an Auburn tailgate during the fall of 2010. While the chili cooked, we partied. It was a delicious meal after the game and I have had several people ask for the recipe since then.

Enjoyed it - husband and I each had 2nds. It was a bit runny - but nothing a few saltines could not soak up. Have lots more in the fridge and freezer for later this fall.

It's a hit! We didn't have beer, so I left it out and used my own concoction for the chili spices. It was delicious. The whole family loved it!
