Spicy Sausage and Mushroom Pizza

    Quick, easy and delicious. Teenager loved it - and so did we! Some small modifications. I used a Trader Joe's Ciabatta Flatbread instead of rolling out a pizza dough. And as I accidentally purchased sweet Italian chicken sausage rather than spicy/hot turkey sausage, I added a generous sprinkle of hot pepper flakes as I sauteed it. Also, sliced the sausage into discs instead of crumbling.

    This was amazing! I used a Boboli thin pizza crust instead of making the crust from fresh dough. I can't wait for leftovers tonight! Nine pts.

    Nothing overly adventurous for this pizza, but it does taste good! Super simple to make and preparing this one was a snap. Used C.L.'s NY style pizza sauce recipe and forgot to add the parm cheese, but otherwise made as directed. I generally purchase Whole Foods wheat fresh pizza dough if I can; has a great chewy texture and a wonderful taste. Otherwise, this would go great on any pizza dough (or premade crust). I would definitely make again - the secret to good homeade pizza is to be sure to broil the last 2 minutes on high to get your cheese bubbly and brown! Enjoy!

    Good flavor and easy to make. I used a cauliflower pizza crust instead of pizza dough to lighten it up.

    I cheated with a Boboli crust. DD thought the sausage was too spicy, but generally this was good and we will have it again.

    I usually make this with regular spicy Italian sausage, as the other is too hard to find. We love it!
